How to Measure for Multiple Blinds on One Headrail

For very large windows, we recommend using two or three smaller blinds on a single headrail. There are a number of advantages to this method: you can raise or lower each individual blind separately, and you avoid the wear and tear that a single, heavier blind would put on the lifting mechanism.

How to Measure

Width
Using a steel tape measure, measure the width of each portion of the window in three different places. Use the narrowest dimensions when you order. Now measure from the far left side of the window to the place where the first window panel ends (left blind), from the place where the first window panel ends to the place where the second window panel ends (center blind), and from the place where the second panel ends to the far right side of the window (right blind).

The above example is for a three-on-one headrail. If you are ordering a two-on-one headrail, divide the window into two sections only.

Height
Measure the height of the window in three different places. Use the longest dimension when placing your order.

How to Order

When you order a three-on-one headrail, you must order three separate blinds. For each blind, select the three-on-one headrail option. If you wish, you can enter your overall width in the special instructions section at the end of the ordering process.
