Panorama® energy efficiency
Increase your energy efficiency, improve your environment and lower cooling costs

Today, the need to conserve energy, reduce your company’s carbon footprint and conform to stricter environmental standards has never been greater. At the same time, the cost of energy continues to rise – affecting your company’s bottom line. With proven heat-rejection properties, Panorama films help your business consume less energy by keeping interior temperatures more controllable and stable – lowering the need for air conditioning, reducing extreme peaks in usage and allowing your cooling system to operate more efficiently and inexpensively.

Keep It Cool

Nothing is as beautiful as your yard in nice weather. This is what you want to see, even when the sun is blazing on your windows. Panorama keeps the heat outside - in your yard.

You don't need to lower curtains or blinds. No dark living room in the summer - all the light will enter. Panorama window film reduces the need for air conditioning helping save on energy bills.

With Panorama window film on your glass, expect less solar energy to enter your environment while the natural light remains.

Keep It New

UV gives you a tan. That's nice, but your furniture, carpets, wall paper and favorite painting will be discolored by it, too. Nothing can cause the value of your fine furnishings, wood flooring, artwork and fabrics to depreciate more quickly than fading and deterioration.

Thanks to Panorama, your interior will remain new for a longer time. Panorama® window film from Solar Gard keeps UV rays where they belong: outside.

All Panorama window films help keep you safe from the harmful effects of ultraviolet light, providing a partial deterrent to premature skin aging and some potential skin cancers.

Keep It Safe

Your little daughter, inside by the window. Your sons, in the yard with the football. Consider what could happen... Small accidents can have serious consequences. Glass shards flying about can wound and damage interior furnishings. Panorama window film from Solar Gard keeps the shards together. Moreover, the film slows down burglars from gaining entry.

Panorama safety films are stronger, more durable films that are designed to hold broken glass in place, whether broken accidentally by your children or intentionally by a thief.

See The Difference With Panorama Safety Film

Panorama safety films help keep the dangerous shards together upon impact, due to accidents or attempted break-ins. Plus, there are privacy versions available to act as a deterrent to nosy passersby or burglars peering into your home - keeping you safe.

Protection from the Sun
Panorama® Films Skin Cancer Foundation Recommended

Summertime is here, and along with the season’s good weather often comes an increased awareness of the dangers associated with catching too much sun. Many people think of sun damage only when they’re in the yard or at the beach. But the reality is we have to change how we think about skin cancer. The sun is harmful to our skin, whether exposure is at the beach, in the car, at work, or at home. Panorama's Seal of Recommendation from the Skin Cancer Foundation makes our window film an excellent solution for anyone who is looking to protect their skin.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation:

  • Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States – more than 1 million skin cancers are diagnosed annually
  • One in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime
  • More than 90 percent of all skin cancers are caused by sun exposure
  • A person's risk for skin cancer doubles if he or she has had five or more sunburns

Skin Cancer Foundation Recommended Panorama window films include:

Panorama® Window Film Products

The key to enjoying beautiful, high-performance windows is Panorama window film. Professionally installed, all Panorama window films maintain ambient light and the view you love while keeping you cool, comfortable, and well protected.

Panorama Hilite® window films are high-performance films that are virtually undetectable. Hilite films provide exceptional solar control to keep you cool and comfortable, while protecting your family and valuable possessions from the sun’s damaging UV light.

The Panorama Sterling® series provides extraordinary solar control while admitting higher levels of visible light. Ranging from barely noticable tint to darker shades, these films have a subtle reflective finish from the outside.

The Dual Reflective Panorama Slate series maximizes your views with reduced interior and exterior reflectance. Your privacy is increased during the day, while nighttime reflectivity is reduced for uncompromised views out at night.

Panorama safety films are stronger, more durable films designed to hold broken glass in place, whether broken accidentally by your children, shattered by wind-driven debris in a storm, or broken intentionally by a thief.

With Panorama Specularis™, your dealer can generate a custom analysis to quantify the increased comfort and reduced energy consumption you’ll enjoy with installation of Panorama window film.

The Panorama PremierPlus warranty provides peace of mind by replacing your window manufacturer’s warranty, in addition to delivering long-term protection against film defects.

Panorama Safety Films

From severe weather to burglary and vandalism, threats to human safety and property are on the rise. Solar Gard Panorama safety and security window films are stronger, more durable films that provide an extra layer of protection to your home. Specially designed to absorb shock and hold shattered glass in place, Panorama not only protects people from flying shards, but also provides a barrier against break-ins and interior damage.

Panorama® Autumn Bronze

Autumn Bronze is also a dual reflective film, but contains a layer of copper. The result is a soft, light-golden film that rejects 66% of the total solar energy and has a visible light transmission of 34%. It is ideal for applications with a high glare factor that also require minimal night time reflectivity. It is also used to improve the appearance of buildings with a brick façade.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I have Panorama® window film installed?
  • To prevent the interior furnishings from fading inside the room.
  • To prevent solar heat from entering the room while still allowing the visible light to enter.
  • In the event of a window breaking, the film prevents razor-sharp shards from being dispersed into the room thus preventing injuries and damage.
  • To slow down the chance of a burglar breaking and entering (with safety film).
  • To make your windows more uniform and attractive.
What are the main advantages of Panorama window film?
  • A cooler house during a hot summer. Panorama window film's very fine metal layer allows most of the visible light to pass through, but reflects the infrared rays back out through the glass.
  • A reduction in fading (wood flooring, curtains, furniture, artwork etc.). Panorama window films keep out most of the harmful ultraviolet rays and reflect the infrared ones. This enables the inside of your room to look new longer.
  • Increased safety and security (safety film): The adhesive layer of Panorama window film reacts immediately with the inside of the window, so in the event of a window breaking, the shards of glass are held together on the film. Therefore, no glass is expelled, which prevents physical injuries and damage to the inside of your room. Panorama safety film also makes it possible to slow down the chance of thief's breaking and entering.
  • Panorama window film's subtle appearance makes your home look more attractive while still protecting it.
What are the advantages of Panorama window film compared with an "outdoor" solar protection method?
  • "Outdoor" solar protection (such as blinds or shutters) reflects the infrared rays, but it also prevents the visible light from entering the room. With Panorama you obtain protection against infrared and ultraviolet rays, and the maximum visible light.
  • Unlike shutters and blinds, Panorama window film offers easy maintenance and no expensive cleaning.
  • Panorama window film is quick and easy to fit. Other solar protection methods involve extra work.
What are the advantages of Panorama window film compared with an "indoor" solar protection method?
  • "Indoor" solar protection (such as blinds or curtains) prevents the visible light from getting into the room. In addition, radiating infrared heat accumulates. Air conditioning may be a solution, however, after receiving the monthly bill, the cost or installing and running is very high compared with the window film. What's more, Panorama window film is working for you from dawn to dusk, it does not need to be mechanically closed or opened.
How does Panorama window film make the house cool?
  • Panorama window film's very fine metal layer reflects the majority of the infrared rays from solar heat. During an average day, the film provides a more pleasant level of warmth in the house.
Panorama window film reflects the heat during the summer. But what effect does the film have during the winter?
  • First, we must make a distinction between:
    • Near infrared rays produced by the sun and
    • Far infrared rays produced by the central heating
  • During the summer, as in winter, Panorama window film keeps out a lot of the sun's near infrared rays.
  • The window film has a limited impact on protection against far infrared rays during the winter. The reason for this lies in the fact that this double glazing and/or insulation glass with a Low-E coating limits the additional, positive effect of the window film throughout the winter months.
